Sing with Us
The Anstruther Philharmonic Society, welcomes singers of all ages and abilities. Enjoyment of singing and a commitment to attend rehearsals and sing in the concerts is important. No audition is necessary, though ability to learn the music for our perfomances makes for a good experience for our Director and Members. Rehearsals run from September/October to March, with a break over the Christmas period. To sing with us, just come along to any rehearsal. If you can come to the first one of the session then you will have a better start and time to learn the music for the concerts.
Membership costs £80 per year, payable at the start of rehearsals each year or £40 at the beginning of each semester.
We study choral music together and perform with professional soloists and orchestra, under the direction of our Musical Directors, Michael Downes and Robert Dick. We have a concert in early December and our Annual Concert in March. Over the last 100 years, the Phil has performed a variety of works from firm favourites like Handel’s Messiah to Mozart’s Requiem and many others.

REHEARSALS
When: Begin again in September on Tuesdays, 7.15 - 9.25pm Where: Coastline Community Church, 21 Session Street, Pittenweem KY10 2QL Give us a try! Come along to any rehearsal. You will be made most welcome. Please check the News for Members page to make sure there will be a rehearsal on the evening you want to come along. |
